Welcome to the personal Web page of
Olympia Bover Hidiroglu. She is an economist at the Research Division of the
Banco de España since 1991. Previously, she was a Research Fellow at Nuffield
College, Oxford, and at the Centre for Economic Performance at the LSE. She
obtained her Ph.D. in 1987 at the London School of Economics for her
dissertation "Intertemporal Labour Supply Decisions: Structural Models
Estimated from US Panel Data". Her research includes empirical interests
in labour supply, unemployment, wages, the housing market, and consumer and migration
behaviour. She also has methodological interests in the analysis of panel data,
duration models, and discrete choice. Her published papers have appeared in the
Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Economic
Journal, Journal of Econometrics, Economic Policy, Journal
of Population Economics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and
Statistics, Investigaciones Económicas, and contributed volumes. She
is an Associate Member of Nuffield College, Oxford, an International Research
Associate at the IFS, London, and a Research Fellow of CEPR and IZA.
